Kanto Student's Japanese Archery Match

Kanto Match was held on last Saturday and Sunday. I was going to see it with my old fellows in Kyudo club. Long time we had been gathered around and met each other since job hunting had been kicked off. And also OB and OG ( our senior now graduated), our Kohai( Junior), were putting together as a team attempting to do the best for this big match.
Kanto, which means all university students in Japanese Archery club joining together to win the championship, is the biggest festival at Nihon Budo Kan. All student players are in here to be the heros and heroines. The whole dome was filled with cheering and passion.
Of course, our club had joined this game. Although we weren't able to get in the tournament match, but we did the best. And I saw my juniors had gradually grown up into a real Kyudo Jin. (Budo)
That was what I did on holidays. And today, my Media English class had taken a listening test, the content was fun. It treated the discrimination of lesbian teenage's public displays of affection in California. The problem is not only the lesbian girl's sexual orientation, but also her openness that she huged, kissed her girlfriend in public. Then she was suspended by her principle for violating the rules although she excelled in every subjects at school. I could feel totally sympathy for her situation, but one thing I wonder is her lack of dilemma and struggle about her orientation as a lesbian. It seems she hasn't even tried to hide she likes a girl, less reluctant to show her affection toward her lover in the open. Maybe she does this because she is brave. But at least, in Japan, asian countries, this behavior is much less seen. Especially homosexual couples would feel uncomfortable to do this in public with a feeling of guilty amongest them. And one thing interesting was her sister said this is nothing to be shamed.
Um, another difference I've foudn between asian culture and western. :-)
